About Dr. Ouhl
A graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Dr. Rick K. Ouhl has been practicing dentistry in the Parkland, Washington area since 1980. A longtime member of the community, the dental office is located only one mile from his childhood home. Dr. Ouhl is past president of Pierce County Dental Society and is active as a board member within the Washington State Dental Association.
Dr. Ouhl is objective in looking at new problems and welcomes the opportunity to participate in decisions which must ultimately be beneficial to the patient.
About Dr. Butler
Kelly Ann Butler, D.D.S. graduated first in her class at the Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry and was in active practice in Arizona and Alaska before coming to Washington to join Dr. Ouhl. She is also a member of the Pierce County Dental Society, is active in an ongoing professional study club and is committed to working in partnership with each patient to discover and deliver the care that will best fit their individual needs.
About Alan Anderson
Alan Anderson, a licensed denturist is available in our office to accommodate patients with specific partial and or denture needs and is able to work one on one with the patient to achive a satisfing result. Alan is a World Cup gold and bronze medal winner held in Australia this past 2002.
Hygiene Staff
We have three registered dental hygienists on board to meet every aspect of preventative care we encounter. Competence and caring are just two of the priorities our hygiene staff has in taking care of our patients.
Another very important goal of the hygiene staff is to make every patient's experience a comfortable and pleasant one. We have a variety of talents in our hygiene department from the most common procedure of dental cleanings, as well as non-surgical gum disease procedures, fillings, sealants, and local anesthesia. Nitrous oxide anesthesia as well as audio anesthesia (stereo headsets) also available.
Clinical Staff
We have 2 full time assistants that have been with Dr. Ouhl for many years. Both are highly experienced in cosmetic and implant dentistry as well as in routine dental procedures. There are also 2 part time assistants that accompany Dr. Butler in her schedule - both have been in dentistry over 14 years . We have a sterilization assistant to maintain efficient infection control and all continue education through the year staying current with changing technology and procedures in dentistry.
Administrative Staff
Our administration is highly knowledgeable with insurance concerns and can answer most questions about dental procedures and will help to coordinate appointments for necessary treatment.
